DOUBLE-LIE is a 10-year-old cognac distilled with double the lees usually contained in the heating wine. This cognac contains 200 mg / L of esters. That is three times more than the rate obtained with a conventional distillation on lees. It is the Maillard reaction between the lees and the copper in the still during cooking of the wine that allows this exceptional extraction of esters. This unique technique gives DOUBLE-LIE an incomparable aromatic intensity.
