Riserva del Gelso is our selection of Franciacorta obtained mainly by Pinot noir grapes that are soft pressed to have just first pressing must. After a careful selection of the best Pinot noir grapes, it follows the soft pressing to obtain the fist pressing musts, vinified mainly in steel and as mall part in barriques. After 6-7 months from the harvest, the wine that has fermented and aged in wood comes together with the part vinified in steel. The wines for the Riserva del Gelso are distinguished by greater structure balanced by good acidity, fundamental factors for obtain-ing an extremely long-lasting Franciacorta which is aged in bottle on its lees for over 60months.
