History of craft beers from the Brasserie de Flavigny
Cyril Raveau, oenologist by profession and manager of a Burgundy wine estate, is the instigator of this crazy adventure. Around him he gathered 3 friends: Guillaume Souloumiac, Didier Seguin and Laurent Lignier. This joyous band of enthusiasts has set itself the challenge of creating a large-scale artisanal brewery in the Burgundy countryside, in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain. Better known for its architecture and its famous anise, the town immediately joined this project which aims to make good craft beers of course, but also to become a real place of life which revitalizes the rurality that our 4 friends are particularly fond of. . After having completely renovated an old farm, the vats have found their place, the recipes are ready and the Brasserie de Flavigny opens its doors in July 2021. With a breathtaking view of the medieval village from its huge terrace, the brewery has already federated the local. Bet won!
Local, easy-to-drink craft beers
On the beer side, we do things well. Supplies are made as much as possible locally or nearby, priority is given to short circuits. Luckily (or would it be fate?), the water in the village is perfectly suited for brewing and a local farmer produces organic barley which already accounts for 20% of the consumption of the craft brewery. Even before celebrating its first anniversary, the Brasserie de Flavigny already offers a very nice range of craft beers with a Burgundy beer available in white, blond, lemon blond and triple, an IPA, a NEIPA and even a Berliner Weisse at Raspberry.
The Brasserie de Flavigny quartet has not finished surprising and delighting us with its perfectly crafted French craft beers.
