Dubbel are traditional Belgian beers, originally from Trappist abbeys. To add color, the monks used roasted malts, which added dry notes. Nowadays, only Caramel malts are used, which makes Dubbels very round. Here, we have created an in-between, between tradition and modernity. The use of roasted malt provides a good toasted bread taste, while Caramel malts provide deliciousness and sweetness.
