 It has medium-high acidity.   This unique organic coffee encompasses the flavor intensity, body and acidity of citrus.   Tunki exudes a beautiful floral aroma with notes of chocolate and sweet molasses, enhanced with nuances of citrus and red fruits.  In 2010, it was awarded by the American Association of Specialty Coffees as the best specialty coffee in the world.

 Originating from Peru, organic Tunki coffee is grown in the Puneña jungle of Peru, at an altitude of 1,300 to 1,800 meters above sea level on the border with Bolivia, near the entrance to the Tambopata National Reserve.   In this national park resides the rooster of the rocks or Tunki, the national bird of Peru, and hence the name of the coffee.   This farm has international organic certifications and adheres to the international fair trade system.  The production of this coffee is very careful, a particular selection is made of the beans which are pulped manually then fermented and washed "with great care".
