Benoit Riz de Canavere was founded in 1993 by Jean-Louis Benoit, son of Louis Benoit, Camargue rice farmers from father to son. A pioneer in rice growing in the Camargue, Canavere is a family business that has been working for 4 generations to develop agricultural production that respects the soil and people. It defends sustainable agriculture while promoting a local product, entirely made in France, in the Camargue, within a radius that does not exceed 30 km. Rice control is done from the field to the consumer's plate. Rice cultivation helps maintain an ecosystem and biodiversity specific to this region. Without rice fields, the Camargue would be nothing more than a salt marsh, and there would be no more fauna or flora.
