Cannelya is a French brand of scented candles.
Our creations are presented in concrete pots. Handcrafted in our Parisian workshop.
Each of our scents has been carefully created by our artisan perfumer; they are unique.
The raw materials used remain 99% natural. The entire design was the subject of a responsible approach.
The genesis of Cannelya was born from a delicate intention. At the end of December 2020, the chill in Paris was felt and we wanted to offer scented candles to our loved ones to warm up the winter. Despite the array of candles presented to us, none really matched our desires.
Through this experience, a desire to create was born in us and it was only after long months of reflection that we carried out our first test.
We tirelessly repeat the experience and finally decide to take the plunge and make the original, unique and personal candle.
We wanted to create a product in our image. Cannelya is the synergy between our Parisian daily life and my Malagasy roots. We also place a high value on quality, aesthetics and responsible manufacturing.
Why the name Cannelya?
Cinnamon teas are a staple of my childhood, a cure for everything (cough). More than just a spice, cinnamon is my Proust madeleine and a personal inspiration. Its intense and deep fragrant notes rocked my childhood and today I want to share the same feeling through my candles.
The name “a” is a nod to the Great Island of Madagascar, due to the ending of the words.
