The Cantina del Mandrolisai Agricultural Cooperative was born in 1950 and the first harvest dates back to 1952. The structure brings together the members of the territory belonging to the municipalities of Sorgono and Atzara and subsequently to the members belonging to the municipalities of Meana Sardo, Ortueri and Samugheo (in the province of Oristano). It obtained the D.O.C in 1981. The disciplinary, born on the structural setting of the vineyards, provides for the use of a blend including: Bovale Sardo or Muristeddu, Cannonau and Monica.

The Cantina Sociale del Mandrolisai is located in Sorgono, a town located in the Mandrolisai area, in central Sardinia, an area strongly suited to agriculture, with cultivars such as cannonau, monica and muristellu, from which full-bodied, deep reds are produced and of great personality, perfectly embodying the spirit of this land.

The winery takes its name from the Mandrolisai region: one of the innermost regions of Sardinia and one of the most famous of the traditional wine production areas on the island. The winemaking vocation of Mandrolisai stems from the particular geographical characteristics, with high hilly, sunny and beautifully exposed terrain. Even the climate, characterized by little rain and a long summer, contributes to the success of the wines, guaranteeing perfect ripening of the grapes even in the cooler years. The traditional quality and uniqueness of the wines of the area have meant that Mandrolisai became part of the Sardinian wines with Denomination of Controlled Origin. The Cantina Sociale del Mandrolisai today produces a series of wines mainly red, but also white and rosé. The wines are clearly distinct in structure, some of which are aged for a long time in oak barrels.

Designed for the important catering sector (Horeca), the new Kent'Annos wine line was recently created, the cellar's flagship selection, dedicated to the legendary longevity of Sardinians and in particular to the many centenarians, or almost centenarians, of this part of the island. For large-scale distribution (GDO), the traditional line has remained unchanged.
