Do you know the Italian Easter dove? This is the Easter version of the famous Christmas panettone! The base of the impasto (the dough) is the same as that of the panettone (flour, eggs, sugar, yeast and butter) to which candied fruits and dried fruits are added, sometimes with more spring flavors. The cake is then molded in the shape of a dove 🕊️ This "classic" version is light as a cloud, enriched with Italian candied oranges and covered with a crisp glaze of sugar grains and California almonds.
