As a graphic arts student, I discovered Yves Klein's Blue Venus at the Nice Museum of Contemporary Art, a monochrome sculpture of a luminous and impressive blue. I was captivated by this piece, a mix of tradition and contemporaneity.
¿Why the virgin?
My mother adored the Virgin Mary, I grew up with this icon that has always fascinated me.
The Virgin is more than a simple representation, it is a powerful symbol of hope, faith and protection. Of a discreet and silent character, today she has abandoned the churches and has become an essential and omnipresent icon of pop culture, queen and powerful.
Céleste was born from the meeting and complementarity between two friends, a graphic designer and a product engineer.
We decided to create a resin sculpture of the Virgin, painted in our workshop with very bright colours to give her, like Yves Klein's Blue Venus, more prominence and to modernise her image, to integrate her into our daily lives, providing joy and harmony, spirituality and decoration.
