In 1877, Désiré Bruant, winegrower in Ormes near Orléans, saw his vineyard decimated by Phylloxera.
He abandoned agriculture for the wine trade, thus founding Maison Bruant, quickly renowned for its quality wines.
Located in the heart of Beauce, it benefits from a strategic position near the port of Orléans, facilitating the delivery of wines.
In 1896, his son Maurice took over the business, followed by Marcel then Michel, each contributing to the growth of the house. In 1993, Benoît, Désiré's great-grandson, relaunched the company with Isabelle. Faced with changes in consumption, they are turning to spirits, responding to growing demand in France. Building on their heritage and their passion, they launched Charmeval, an exceptional French whiskey.
