Leaning against the hill, a few kilometers from Bandol, in the heart of a natural circus, sheltered from the mistral and lulled by the sound of water, the Canadel vineyard had everything of a sleeping beauty. The good fairies had bent over her cradle, offering her exceptional soil and an ideal microclimate.
It was in 2007 that Laure and Vianney Benoist took over the kidneys of the estate, they converted the 15 ha of vines to organic and biodynamic cultivation in order to reveal the best of them.
In 2014 they built their own cellar and gave birth to the first bottles of Château Canadel, in the Bandol appellation. Mourvèdre, the emblematic grape variety of the Bandol appellation, finds a favorite land in Canadel. It combines its power with the delicacy of Cinsault to reveal wines of great elegance.
