At the gates of Bordeaux nestles the Château de Malherbes in the town of Latresne: a natural setting where vines have been cultivated for centuries. When the property was bought in 2014, the vineyard took a 180° qualitative turn. The work in the vines is meticulous: natural grassing, control of yields, sustainable agriculture respectful of the environment, agroforestry...
The construction of a gravity cellar (HVE certified) has also largely contributed to the qualitative shift. From the arrival of the grapes in the cellar until the bottling, the transfers are carried out by gravity, thanks to the natural unevenness of the ground. This process is then less traumatic for the grapes, which makes it possible to create a wine of very high quality, worthy of the greatest vintages.
