A unique estate due to its values, its terroir, its history, its people.

An integral part of the oldest vineyard in Bordeaux planted 2,000 years ago, Château du Grand Bos is located near the old Roman road called Chemin Gallien.

It appears on the Belleyme map of the 18th century and is ranked 1st among the commune's wines in the former Féret.

Since 1868, the Grand Bos estate has produced wines which are distinguished by their finesse, their body, and a very pronounced bouquet.

The estate is dominated by an old residence, renovated for the first time in 1771, when the outbuildings were enlarged and raised.

On either side of the main residence, two outbuilding wings form a square courtyard around them, closed by a gate.

It is surrounded by a landscape marked by serenity where centuries-old trees stand out: lime trees, chestnut trees, sessile and pedunculate oaks, and even corks.

Le Grand Bos has always sought to take environmental issues into account.  In its appearance first of all with a strong landscape constraint and a significant investment to preserve the intact character of its 18th century Chartreuse winemaker.  But especially in the work in the vineyard with traditional work of the soil and manual methods.
Since the creation of this company, our working methods have always been in accordance with respect for nature: no chemical weeding, installation of plant cover, a minimum of chemical treatments to protect the vines, low production volume... This which brought us towards certified organic farming in 2023.

The development of biodiversity in our vineyard is also a priority.

In this sense, we sought to establish beehives.

We have also initiated the production of “house” bats, a species already very present in our vineyard.
