Château Galoupeau, managed by Véronique Massieu and Léonard Maigre, is an artisanal family estate nestled in the heart of Entre-Deux-Mers: The winery is located in the village of St André du Bois and the 25-hectare vineyard extends in different islands in four surrounding municipalities.
The estate has been in the family for many generations. The oldest family archives attest that certain plots were already used for vines before the French Revolution. With the takeover of the estate in 2017 by the new generation, a major ecological transition was made towards sustainable agriculture concerned with the preservation of the environment: vegan label in 2017, High Environmental Value label in 2018 and Terra Vitis in 2019.
