It was also in these troubled times of the High Middle Ages, at the end of the 100 years war, that a great ancestor of Dominica conquered and acquired the surname of Grand Français...
When the little story meets the Big Story! At the very beginning of this new century, thanks to his industrial experience, Dominique decided to definitively renounce all chemical products of whatever nature in order to protect this little cocoon of 15 ha surrounded by the forest, on its clay- gritty, but also and above all the men and women who work there, aware that he was, of the consequences and dangers that phytosanitary products could cause for everyone's health.
The estate has been 100% organic since 2002. We obviously guess for Dominique that organic is not just a chimera, he understood well before today's well-meaning people the formidable impacts of chemical treatments, there is no there weren't many people in Bordeaux and even fewer in Libournais in 2002 to think so. Dominique will convince Guy, his Cellar Master, of the relevance of this change. This vision, Dominique will share it with all of his collaborators, Guy will put all his energy at the service of this qualitative authenticity through the implementation of extremely precise processes on the whole of the production, from the vines to the sowing the soil with field beans, oats, barley; manual harvesting with systematic sorting by shelf, irreproachable hygiene with very precise control of gases and temperatures...
