Red wine - Cuvée Prestige 2019

The prestige cuvée is a blend of eighty percent Merlot, ten percent Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. For this cuvée we select our parcels of old vines (at least 60 years old) which give more qualitative berries because they are more concentrated in sugars and aromas. This blend benefits from a year of aging in new French Allier oak barrels. The new barrels will give woody notes more present than on the traditional cuvée while maintaining a good balance with the fruit. This wine is therefore a long-keeping wine and can be drunk a good twenty years after bottling if it has been kept in suitable conditions and if you like old wines, it can also be tasted from three to five years later after bottling if you appreciate the supple and elegant tannins characteristic of Saint Emilion wines. The prestige cuvée finds a remarkable balance between fruit and wood and on tasting you will notice notes of very ripe red fruits as well as a touch of vanilla and empyreumatic aromas revealed by the wood. The prestige cuvée will go sumptuously with matured red meat, a game dish, a duck breast or a cheese platter.
