For several generations, Château Liot has belonged to the DAVID family. Today, Jerry DAVID passes on his know-how to his son and his daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Marie-Amélie to ensure continuity. Together, they want to continue the evolution of property by adapting to new techniques while respecting our environment. Indeed, HVE certified, they wish to guarantee their consumers a quality wine that respects biodiversity, the environment and above all our future.
The farm is made up of 20 hectares of Sauternes, 12 of Graves rouge and 6 of Graves Blanc. Château LIOT extends its vines in Haut Barsac, a privileged place conducive to the production of great sweet wines. The particularity of the Barsac soil is this red clayey soil which rests on a bed of broken limestone, favoring the penetration of roots into the soil and ensuring natural drainage. The proximity of the Ciron and the sunny afternoons are very favorable to the development of Botrytis Cinérea, essential for the production of great sweet wines.
