Quentin Mehaye Shifts SIPIAN 2019

The Sipian SHIFT method: A unique wine, breaking the traditional codes of tasting. Tasting usually follows a structured process, aiming to extract as much information as possible. We tried to purify this process, by working on it differently. The objective this time is no longer just to follow a protocol but to trust a feeling and this through the label of the bottle. We have reproduced Piet Mondrian's painting on the label "Composition in red, yellow, blue and black". This is an oil painting on canvas. Structured with an abstract composition reminiscent of neoplasticism, it is made up of several rectangles and squares separated by horizontal and vertical black lines. A rigorously structured work surrounded by primary colors and anti-colors. SIPIAN DÉCALE explanation: Like Mondrian, we focus on structure, balance and concentration. We liked Mondrian's philosophy of focusing on the relationship between the figure through our tannic structure and the background on which it appears here and which is highlighted here through our fruitiness. The objective is to perceive the beauty of the lines that we represent in our wine as a liveliness and a well-established structure, colors aimed at representing the bright fruit that composes it as well as the salinity on the finish and the relationship between them with the perfect balance they create.
