Since 1952, it is in the heart of our orchards, a stone's throw from the corsair city of Saint-Malo, that our artisanal and family cider house has found its inspiration in order to produce high quality cuvées.
It was at the height of their 20s, fresh out of the post-war period, that Francis and Célestine SORRE started in 1947, in La Fresnais, a dual activity, farming and cider production. They settled permanently in 1952 in PLERGUER to develop these activities. At the time, deliveries were made on horseback. The activity will develop until 1992.
In 1992, after several years spent at the Cidrerie alongside her parents, their youngest daughter Marinette decided with her husband Marcel CHAPRON to take over. They choose to stop farming to focus solely on cider production. This allows them to refine their know-how, and to hoist the Cidrerie Sorre among the most recognized in the profession.
In 2011, another turning point was taken. The two youngest children of Marcel and Marinette decide to take the reins of the family cider house. Both bathed in this environment since their earliest childhood, then employed for several years within it, they have no difficulty in developing the heritage of their alleux. Aurélie takes care of all the administrative part, and strives to develop sales to individuals, thanks to the new shop adjoining the cider house. After having cut his teeth with the Paris Fire Brigade, Mickaël takes care of all the processing with energy, from pressing the apples to bottling, including working the juice in the cellar.
