Our aim
To eat the ancient Sicilian grains
The Community of Cielo Terra Mare has chosen to start its own Work in respect of the Tradition by using the resources of the Terre di Sicilia and to represent them in the food traditions of Italy. In the past seventy years, commercial needs have prevailed over the quality of food, which has forced those who go shopping to become a taste investigator. Today we are faced with the dilemma: will it be healthy or will I poison me? Food for advertising or the pursuit of quality ... Just as prehistoric man created the memory of food, modern man today goes in search of it. The Communities, "Genome of Tradition" all over the world, still preserve the traces and ways of the paths of Tradition with the fishermen, with the breeders, with the farmers ... We know those that our grandparents, and of the many who cross they have handed down to us by passing, from the center of the Mediterranean to an island within the island, “Sicily”. Eating one's own food heritage is an indispensable act in order to re-establish contact with one's own gene memory and with Tradition.
