Screen-printed poster - Cahors Roots of Malbec

Unique poster numbered and signed by Jean-Luc Baldès, 6th generation winemaker of Clos Triguedina. Screen printing (from the Latin sericum “silk” and from the Greek graphein “writing”) is a printing technique that uses stencils (originally, silk screens) interposed between the ink and the support. The supports used can be varied (paper, cardboard, textile, metal, glass, wood, etc.). Screen printing was created by the Chinese during the Song dynasty (960-1279) and spread to neighboring countries. The technique has also been used in art, notably by the Pop Art movement, and its emblem Andy Warhol, for printing on canvas. Benefits : - It allows a strong deposit of ink which not only guarantees an intense color that lasts over time but also a good opacity. - With a simple magnifying glass, no frame is visible, the color being arranged in “flat areas”. The rendering is extremely qualitative.
