ORGANIC PANCH PHORON POWDER

In Bengal it is the most widely used spice blend. The traditional use is to "roast" it in a hot pan with a drizzle of olive oil, to make the seeds more crisp and to develop their flavor. It is added by following fish fillets or vegetables that blend very well with its slightly aniseed aroma. You can also add a spoonful of panch phoron mixture to the cooking water of the rice to give it a light and pleasant scent.
