Cognac GODET Folle Blanche 700ml 40%vol.

Folle Blanche is an ancestral cognac grape variety. 

It has been used in Charente since the 16th century and it is from there that the adventure of cognac began. 

It is the fruit of the distillation of this wine which gave birth to Brandwijn, a word of Dutch origin which means “burnt wine”, ancestor of cognac. 

This grape variety is either very sensitive to phylloxera or not productive enough and will lack disappear completely during the 19th century. 

The Godet family has dedicated part of its efforts, since 1980, to promoting this alternative grape variety which shows a very different face from other cognacs, produced 99% with Ugni Blanc.   Collection FOLLEBLANCHE: Gold-Honey in color, it takes us on a journey with its acacia, honeysuckle and lime blossom scents. In the mouth, the taste is tender and long, with successive aromas of orange and marmalade, finishing with muscat grapes.
