Roy René's Navettes de Provence The origins of the Navettes de Provence date back to the 18th century. The shape symbolizes the boat that brought the Saintes Maries (Marie Madeleine, Marie Salomé and Marie Jacobé) to the coast of Provence and explains its name (naveta being the diminutive of nau, “ship”, in Provençal). Traditional biscuits from Provence, our recipe has been revisited by Pierre Hermé. They are made with flour whose wheat comes from the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence or the Hautes-Alpes and are delicately flavored with a natural Orange Blossom aroma. HASstore away from heat and humidity.
