Corilu

Lu is a small town of just over a thousand inhabitants in the heart of Monferrato. These hills, together with Langhe and Roero, which have always been the cradle of excellent products, have recently been declared a UNESCO heritage site. In 1996 a group of growers who have always been friends in life and collaborators in the work of the fields decided to convert all their land into hazelnut groves, when then the territory of the area was mainly of vineyards. The aim was to continue the long tradition of hazelnut cultivation, very ancient, as demonstrated by the discovery of notarial documents that refer to it as early as the end of the 1500s. Lu, with its rolling hills and sunny climate, represents the ideal territory for this cultivation.

From this combination of resources, strongly believing in an absolutely innovative and avant-garde project for our territories, Corilu came to life in 2005 which is still managed and run by the families of the founding members who carry on the company values from generation to generation. . The founding fathers of the company, Luigi, Gianni, Ferdinando, Giorgio and Furio were born and raised in close contact with the country life, as hard as it is rich in values, and no one, better than them, could have passed on this guideline to the inside the cooperative, also involving newcomers who have brought the right breath of fresh air to keep the company in step with the times.
