Leonardian machine gun

The original drawing dated 1480-82, is found on sheet 56 of the Codex Atlanticus, at the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan. It is one of the many war machines made by Leonardo. This type of machine gun had a certain number of guns arranged in a fan shape, it was easily transported to the battlefield thanks to the temporary insertion of 2 wheels removed from the carriage that was deposited on the ground.
