Dé-mots is a brand new game, released in May 2022.
Its engine is the writing of stories in three minutes.
It is aimed at anyone who knows how to write, from the age of 8, and works perfectly for intergenerational people.
The rule is very quick to assimilate; in addition, throughout the game, “surprise” cards add small temporary mechanisms.
Each player moves their pawn in turn on the game board using a die, from the starting square (the white page) to the finish (the writers' bar).
The boxes on the board trigger – or not – three-minute writing tests based on a few instructions given by the board and the cards (ambience, image, imposed word, era, question, story title, etc.).
At each writing test, all the players write, and it is an opportunity to discover their own creativity, stimulated by the very short time.
The texts are then read aloud, and this is an opportunity to discover the creativity of other players.
All this with laughter and kindness, and without fear of spelling mistakes.
Although very recent, Dé-mots has already proven its worth: it makes pupils, young and old alike, write with pleasure, it is a very interesting support in learning foreign languages, it serves as a warm-up in the workshops of writing, it is a game full of meaning for media libraries that develop play spaces, but above all it creates great moments of pleasure with family or friends.
In box or pocket version, it is a very beautiful object; the photos are of high quality and the graphics, signed Jeanne Giraud, are cheerful, user-friendly and effective.
