No 115 Sicilian Vanilla Orange

This orange variety, created by natural crossing, is very low in acid and therefore tastes much sweeter than ordinary oranges. Because of its low acidity, it is also suitable for people with sensitive stomachs and is very popular with children. Their aromatic pulp is tender and juicy, so they are also very good for squeezing. We were particularly attracted by the distinct vanilla aroma of this strain, documented in sensory profile analyses, which is why we chose it as the basis for a spirit. Even if this special aroma is only subtle, this spirit differs significantly in smell and taste from its counterpart made from a classic orange. We highly recommend enjoying it all by itself in the glass at room temperature and at any time of the year. But it also cuts an excellent figure in a mixed drink, e.g. with a little champagne!
