A micro artisanal distillery born from the meeting of two men.
Located in Normandy in Calvados, in Moult to be precise, the Balbec distillery took shape under the impetus of Nicolas, alias Le Fils Du Pôvre, a fine grocer in Cabourg and the expertise of David, an outstanding brewer and distiller.
Our shared desire to create liqueurs and spirits off the beaten track did not take long...
Our liqueurs are much less sweet than average, we harvest the lemons and oranges ourselves in Italy near Terracina, a town twinned with Cabourg...among olive trees between land and sea!
Our peppermint liqueur, Mentello, won a medal 🥈 at the international competition in Lyon in 2024!
Our spirits, thanks to a slow distillation in a small pot still, over one hundred and twenty years old, bring exceptional aromatics to our creations:
* a gin, GENNY, with nine aromas…
* a vodka, TAÏGA, surprisingly fresh…
* an absinthe, AQUILAÉ, the one and only from Normandy…
