Founded in 2015 by Hervé Grangeon, master artisan distiller, the Ergaster distillery offers high-quality, 100% French spirits. The distillery, certified organic, is located in the heart of the Pays des Sources et vallée, in the Hauts de France region.
The aim pursued by the distillery is to produce 100% French products. In this, Hervé Grangeon attaches great importance to the origin of the cereals (North of France), the still (Stupfler, Bordeaux region) and the maturation methods (specific to French brown alcohols such as Cognac or Armagnac). “Made in France” is reflected both at the material level (raw materials, equipment) and immaterial level (know-how)!
Barley, for example, is the only grain used for their whisky and it comes from organic fields around the distillery. This barley, once harvested, is dried to allow its conservation and to be available all year round. When you taste a single malt whisky, a gin or a pure malt from the Ergaster distillery, you immediately realise the know-how of the master craftsman.
Finally, Ergaster is a very special name because it is a tribute to the first prehistoric artisan man.
