“GENESTINE: THE REVIVAL OF A HISTORICAL BRAND”

It is the story of enthusiasts of French spirits and ancient liqueurs, who are reviving a forgotten brand that was nevertheless the flagship of this specialty in the 19th century.

Génestine, one of the oldest spirits brands in France founded in 1845 and the largest distillery in France in the 1920s, is back after 70 years of closure! Génestine Distillery founded in 1845 and reactivated in 2021.

We worked with archivists, antique dealers, librarians, to find traces of the past, and relaunch the brand... We remade the same bottles, logos, labels, as in the 19th century, logo created by Auguste Bartholdi the sculptor of the statue of freedom.

From the first months, the rebirth of the brand aroused a certain curiosity from the public, the media and professionals.

The presentation of the products is neat, timeless retro/chic presentations.

The ingredients are 100% natural and often processed fresh, we use no coloring or artificial flavors, and our prices are consistent.

A coherent and complete range of aperitifs and digestives. 3 aperitifs: Vermouth le Gaulois, Grande Gentiane, artisanal Pastis “Pastis Sauvage” and 4 digestives Royal Mint, Zeste Limoncello, Verbena La Verte De Clermont, ELIXIR 1845 liqueurs from 80 plants aged in Oak Barrels.

Recognition of the profession: during the most prestigious competition for the best spirits in the world, WDA, the World Drinks Awards in England, GENESTINE won three medals, an extremely rare occurrence in the history of the competition...

Commercially we do not sell our products in mass distribution and we leave our brand exclusively to wine merchants, restaurateurs and delicatessens.

History, tradition, quality, Génestine and its unique history is a brand apart. Génestine is developing, we hope you will be among our ambassadors...
