The Domaine des Mathurins is located in the south of France, in Cazedarnes, near the town of Saint-Chinian, in Hérault, in the heart of Occitania. It is on this land of historic vineyards, near the Abbey of Fontcaude, that the latter grew up. Not far from the abbey, you can admire the Mathurins plateau, from which the Domaine takes its name.

Fruit of five generations of winegrowers, heir to centuries-old vines, this family estate has its own know-how which gives its wines balance and audacity.

Located on clay-limestone soil, the 26 hectares of the estate benefit from an exceptional climate, favoring the picking of grapes at full maturity. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Carignan and Viognier, give here the AOC Saint Chinian and superior quality local wines, full of fruit and freshness.
The vines are planted throughout the town, both in the clay-limestone areas and the stony areas, which favors wines with a wide aromatic palette.

It was in 2007 that we made the choice to take over the family estate. In 2012, the organic culture imposed itself quite naturally, as a logical continuation of the evolution of the Estate. Despite certain constraints, we do not regret it, quite the contrary. We can see the benefits of organic farming on nature every day. The transition to organic is only one step, we want to go further, to do a project in its entirety.

Our passion for music is reflected both in the musical names of our cuvées and in the meetings organized at the estate.

We have made the Domaine des Mathurins a place for cultural encounters. Throughout the year, you can attend parties, concerts (classical, jazz, trad, rock, theatre, exhibition, etc.)

In our opinion, wine is shared in moments of conviviality, everyone can appreciate it. It participates in a philosophy of life. We produce our cuvées with patience, passion and delicacy.
