Domaine Lou Capelan is a family farm, located on the shores of the Mediterranean, at Cadière d'Azur, between Marseille and Toulon.
History :
In 1934, the SILVESTRI family, from Italy, settled in Brûlat du Castellet and cultivated the vines. Séraphin, father of Maurice SILVESTRI transmitted to his son the love of the Earth. Maurice SILVESTRI will however take a different professional activity. Electronics engineer at the Toulon arsenal, he will however continue to work the vines with his father in the evening after work, on weekends and during these holidays (which he will take to harvest the grapes). He will later do a professional training and will settle in dual activity for a few years.
It was only in 1992 that Maurice SILVESTRI set up as a winegrower.
Since January 2022, the estate has been cultivating AOP Bandol, AOP Côtes de Provence and IGP Mont Caume wines in rosé, red and white under Organic Agriculture.
The nature of the soils of each of these terroirs gives each wine produced by the Domaine its personality, its complexity in the difference.
The cultivated land extends over the villages of Cadière d'Azur and Le Castellet. The grapes are harvested by hand in Bandol, IGP Mont Caume or Côtes de Provence.
