It is in Douzens, in the heart of Cathar Country, that the Domaine PY vineyard flourishes over 140 ha at the foot of the Alaric mountain, between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. Created in 2003 by Jean-Pierre Py, winegrower, the estate has been conducted entirely in organic farming since 2008. Cradled by marine and western flows, anchored in clay-limestone soils, the Domaine PY vineyard enjoys a privileged exposure. To this is added the choice of authenticity. Authenticity of the grape varieties for its wines of the Corbières appellation (old carignan, grenache, syrah, cinsault) as for its local wines (merlot, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, etc.). Authenticity also of cultural practices, winemaking and maturing methods combining tradition and modernity.
