The site of Château Lamothe has been occupied since Roman times. Fragments of amphorae and coins were found in the castle grounds where a Roman villa once stood. An official map dated 1876 lists 76 plots for a 30-hectare vineyard. Today, the estate still includes these same plots and thus benefits from a unique terroir. The Lamothe Heritage vintage has a deep purple color. On the nose, we find great aromatic complexity with a beautiful balance between the richness of the fruit and the new wood. Aromas of cloves, spices and blond tobacco. A great wine for laying down, generous and powerful, with a lot of elegance. Food and wine pairing: roast beef en croute, stuffed lamb breast, duck breast
