The Dominik Benz estate is part of the Ariège Protected Geographical Indication which was also created in 2013. This appellation remains confidential today with only 60 hectares cultivated. The IGP Ariège extends from southern Toulouse to the foothills of the Pyrenees.
The 18 hectares of vines were planted in the early 1990s. A dozen different plots are based on clay-limestone hillsides located at an average altitude of 300 meters. These plots are located on either side of the Lèze, a sub-tributary of the Garonne. The hilly terrain allows a great diversity of exposures.
The estate has been certified organic since the beginning and we have been working according to Nature & Progrès specifications since 2018.
