Organic Lavandin Cushion

Our small hanging cushions are filled with 35 g of organic lavandin. It is a hybrid lavender between 2 species: true lavender and aspic lavender. Lavandin is today the most cultivated species. All of our lavandin comes from the town of Sault (84390), between Mont Ventoux and Lubéron, in the heart of Provence, essentially the land of lavender and cicadas. Our producer is careful to preserve the artisanal and ancestral tradition of growing their plants. Our lavandin is certified organic by Bureau Véritas. Originally from the western Mediterranean basin, lavender was already used by the Romans to preserve linen and perfume baths. In Provence, lavender was used in the Middle Ages for the composition of perfumes and medicines, but its cultivation did not develop until the 19th century. Lavender has many medicinal properties. Once dried it will bring you a relaxing effect. Its fresh and light fragrance will also protect you from moths and other insects. Your clothes, your woollens and your household linen will soak up the summer scents of Provence and will be protected. To intensify or reactivate the scent of lavandin, simply squeeze the sachet regularly between your hands. Thus the lavender flowers will release their delicate fragrance for months. Our small bags and cushions are handcrafted: the canvas is sewn, screen printed and filled with organic lavandin by a craftsman from the south of France.
