Cachaça Batista was founded in 1943 by José Batista de Oliveira in Minas Gerais. It soon became known in the region for its purity and quality. In 1958, the bottle was given a star in the logo. However, production was discontinued in 1974. On his 90th On his 18th birthday, Mr. José Batista informed his son-in-law, Marco Antônio, that he wanted to revive his project. Marco Antônio accepted the challenge and in 2008, together with his son, built the new facilities at Fazenda Boa Sorte in order to modernize production techniques and preserve the more than 70-year-old tradition.
