Socks Posters

The Red Ribbon Poster socks, from the Museum collection, are men's socks adorned with a composition bringing together several show posters by Jules Chéret (1836-1932), a pioneer of the color lithographic poster and a major figure of Art Nouveau: Hippodrome, Folies-Bergère, Théâtre de la Gaîté. The illustrations, in bright yellow, red, green and blue, reproduce the animated scenes and typography characteristic of this artist. The ribbing and the end are navy blue.​

Bamboo viscose (78%) provides lightness, softness to the touch and good thermoregulation. Polyamide (20%) enhances the fabric's resistance to wear. Elastane (2%) maintains the shape of the sock and ensures a good fit wash after wash.
