A British Navy sailor wears a uniform consisting of a blue jacket and white trousers. 

The jacket has gold buttons and epaulettes and is worn with a belt and hat. 

The pants have gold stripes down the sides showing ranks. 

British Navy sailors also wear a small peaked cap with a gold cord.
