A classic English guardsman. 

With bearskin hat and red uniform. 

Known from the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace or Trooping the Colors in honor of Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her birthday.  A Guardsman is a member of the British Army who serves in special units called "Guards regiments". 

These units are among the oldest and most traditional in the British Army and are known for their precise drills and distinctive uniforms. 

A Guardsman's duties can vary by unit but generally include taking part in military exercises and operations, defending the UK and assisting the civilian community in the event of an emergency or disaster.  A Guardsman's uniform consists of a variety of elements that may vary by unit and occasion. 

Generally, however, they wear a red tunic with gold trimmings and a tufted veil that extends from the shoulder to the knee. 

They also wear high boots and a peaked cap with a cockade.
