King Henry VIII actually executed six of his wives, including his second wife, Anne Boleyn. 

Henry VIII was King of England from 1509 to 1547 and he was known for his toughness and ambition. 

His first marriage was to Catherine of Aragon, but when she could not give him a male heir to the throne, he divorced her and married Anne Boleyn. 

When she was also unable to bear him a son, he had her executed in 1536. 

Henry married a total of six women, four of whom were executed, and he also had numerous love affairs.
