What is Inositol?   Myo-inositol, also known as sugar as a cyclic polyol, is a biologically active isomer of inositol, with varied atomic structures despite having an identical chemical formula. 

Synthesized mainly in the kidneys from glucose, it is no longer part of the B vitamin category, but acts as a secondary messenger in the body. 

It can transform into phosphatidylinositol, thereby influencing cellular signal transduction and interacting with various enzymes involved in biological processes.
