What is PABA?   PABA, para-aminobenzoic acid, formerly classified as vitamin B10, is a phenolic amino acid essential for the synthesis of vitamin B9 in bacteria, yeast and plants. 

It is present in foods like cereals, brewer's yeast, mushrooms and spinach. 

Although no longer part of the B vitamins, PABA is also synthesized endogenously by the intestinal microbiota, notably by Escherichia Coli bacteria, and is being studied for its potential benefits on skin and hair health.
