Who killed Robin Rouge-Gorge?, The Gingerbread Man, The Three Little Pigs, The Three Bears are the titles of this pleasant collection originally published in 1947. The drawings of Franciszka Themerson, Polish artist emigrated to England, are still inspired by the Russian avant-garde but already heralding post-war Anglo-Saxon illustration. Verbal jousts, rhymes and variations of the language were imagined by Françoise Morvan to revive these stories of yesterday and today.
