EDOUARD DELAUNAY-BURGUNDY CHARDONNAY WHITE "SEPTEMBER" 2021

A contemporary Chardonnay that combines all the qualities of elegance and finesse of the great whites of Burgundy, at a reasonable price. A cuvée of surprising complexity through which we affirm our mastery in terms of winemaking, blending and knowledge of Burgundy terroirs. The grapes selected for this cuvée come from two origins. A first part comes from Côte d'Or (mainly from Côte de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits) and was selected for its elegance, freshness and minerality. It is complemented by a selection of wines from the heights of the Mâconnais sought after for their roundness and their fruit. The wines of Côte d'Or (65%) were mostly vinified in the manner of the great whites of Burgundy and matured in barrels, with stirring, in our vat room, in order to bring depth, structure and elegance. The Mâconnais grapes (35%) are vinified and aged in stainless steel vats, in order to preserve freshness and fruit. The final assembly bears the signature of our house. Superb pale gold dress. The nose is expressive, with aromas of citrus, lemon and orange blossom, and a hint of barley sugar and white chocolate. The palate is fresh, tense and reveals notes of melted butter, frangipane and hazelnut. in salt.
