I am Edouard and I am a self-taught illustrator artist. After a chaotic professional journey, I finally found my vocation during confinement: with the time available to me, I started drawing again every day. Originally to restart my studies in graphic design, then finally it was illustration that really made me vibrate.
My work is often described as soft and poetic and it suits me very well! I like to think that I can soften this world by flooding it with pictorial poetry and a few bucolic impulses.
I have great pleasure in working on a graphic tablet and recreating, digitally, more traditional artistic effects. So I try to reproduce pencil lines, watercolor washes, and brushstrokes imitating paint or gouache while working digitally on Procreate. I also work with linocut and watercolor to stay close to the material.
All my drawings and illustrations are inspired by textures, flowers, nature, the body, women and animals. In short: the living. I bring it all together while trying to bring to it an onirism and a bucolic that are specific to me. And of course, lots of love!
In an ecological and responsible concern, my illustrations are printed in Lille metropolis and on demand, all on premium French paper. This approach is completed with the care that I bring to the quality of printing and the attention to detail for an optimal rendering.
