This MERLOT Amalur Hegoa red wine is grown biodynamically in the province of Navarre in Iguzkitza in the Basque Country. COLOR - A beautiful cherry red color. PALATE - An expressive nose with notes of small black fruits and red spices, particularly supple, offers a smooth and fruity palate. PAIRING - Ideal companion for red meats, cheeses and cold cuts. Amalur wines pay homage to Ama Lur, the mythical Basque deity who is the mother of the Sun and the Moon. These vintages are produced with the greatest care on two of the most famous terroirs of Basque wine culture, in Irouléguy in Lower Navarre and in Iguzkitza in Navarre, named respectively “Iparra” and “Hegoa”.
