With the Wisdom and Experience of several generations of Nougat Artisans from Jijona, our company Mira y Llorens S.A was founded in 1969 by the sisters Filliol, Carmen, Pilar and Maria with the benefits obtained from the carpentry of their father Vicente Filliol.
From the beginning, it was María who was in charge of the business. Helped by her husband in the business management until 1991. From the beginning, it was María who was in charge of the business. Helped by her husband in business management until 1991.
In the autumn of 1969 they inaugurated the first industrial warehouse located on the ground floor of the family carpentry, currently Calle Alicante. The first years some 20,000 - 30,000 kg of nougat were produced: traditional and bakery.
Years later, once the company was consolidated, our brand was born in honor of the “Maestro nougat maker”: El Artesano. This being our main brand today. "
